I'm not one for remembering all the acts and their sets. You have to remember, I was suffering from jet
lag, very little sleep on the plane, and NO nap! I must admit I was drifting off during the first half of the
show, particularly when Sinead was on-stage. That girl irked me to no end! She tried to get on stage
with every act! She also made a very rude comment on-stage when Neil Finn was making a dedication
of "Don't Dream It's Over" to his wife and kids home in NZ. I rarely saw her on-stage without a drink in
her hand, a plate of food, or a cigarette (or was it?? ;)) in her mouth. She did NOT impress me with her
set, sorry to say, and I used to enjoy her music.
Well, I desperately needed to get up and stretch during the intermission, so first we ran downstairs to
say hi to Indy, Herma, Jules, and Bianca sitting on the opposite side of the arena from us. Then Ludo
and I went back up to get our drinks from the bar, and I decided to take a gander in on the second
floor to see if I could find Shirlie. We'd emailed her that we were coming and she said to look out for her
and say hello if we spotted her. Well, what a pleasant shock to see a very familiar looking bloke cross
our way just as we were walking in from the lobby. "Kenny!" I shouted. He turned, and stopped. Ludo
and I went over, and I told him we'd met before. "Yes, I remember you from New York" was his response
(amazing memory!!! :) I introduced him to Ludo, and he regretfully said he had to meet up with George
backstage so we let him run. We had to try to maintain composure afterwards. He was just so warm
and gracious...even more so, on the second meeting! Not satisfied with giving up yet, I continued to
eye the hallway for a pretty blonde resembling Shirlie Kemp. Well, it didn't take me long to spot her--
she was talking to a couple of people, so Ludo and I just practiced patience in waiting for an opportunity.
That opportunity came, when the lights began to flicker, signifying it was time to take our seats again.
We waited for Shirlie to make her goodbyes, and then I caught her attention. "Shirlie, we're part of the
MOL group, and we just wanted to say hi." She seemed pleasantly surprised, and we discussed where
we were from, how long it took us to arrive, etc. We knew we had to let her take her seat, but she asked
us to try and find her during the second intermission, and to enjoy G's performance. No doubt we would!!!
Upon returning to our box, we told Nabila of our discovery, and she showed a bit of disappointment of not
being with us to speak to Shirlie. I promised her we'd see her at the 2nd intermission, if there was one,
or after the show regardless.

So, as I have heard George did not like his performance of Eleanor Rigby ? I liked it. But it's ok with
me if he doesn't want it to be on TV version of the show. Still I would love to have it? Maybe I will not
be able to keep that memory of him on stage forever. Maybe it will start fading after 30 years and then
I will not have a reminder of him being there and doing Eleanor Rigby with some incredible back up
singers. ? No, after thinking about it and trying to live it out again I changed my mind - I DO MIND him
leaving it out. It should be there, really. Not to mention other 2 numbers. Not knowing he is going to
sing Faith at the concert, I requested it at the Capital Radio Cafe when we all met there. Each of us
requested a song from George, and for some reason I chose Faith. I felt like Faith that day?. Strangly
enough the DJ at the Capital Radio Cafe did not feel the same way, but George later in the evening did?
;)
From the moment George appeared on stage I already knew it was worth it to travel all the way from
Riga! Just to see him walking on stage and all the RAH standing up! Just for that moment I would
travel all that way again and again!

George Michael was fabulous! I was remarking to some friends who were with me at the concert that it
was almost a year ago when things had been pretty grim about the iincident in L.A. and for George to
turn that all around and be at the top of his game a year later with 5,000 people giving him a standing
ovation -why it's miraculous. And it shows that his fans love him and support him and will be there for
him. And a special thanks to George Michael for being a creative, talented and generous human being.

The whole show was fantastic, from start to finish BUT, and no disrespect intended to Linda McCartney's
family, I was there for one person only and the waiting was killing me! The view we had from our box was
relatively good and we (My sister, friend Helen, Me, Ludo & Jen) had the advantage of being able to see
part of the steps up to the back of the stage where the artists came on! Each time someone walked up
those stairs.... me and Jen were half-throwing a fit, expecting George to be on next! We later discovered
that at that point, he wasn't even in the building but hey.... I was keen okay?!
Mid way through there was an interval and whilst chatting to people in the surrounding boxes, discovered
that a majority of the people there that night were there to see George perform live. The announcement
came to return to your seats for the second half of the show and whislt getting settled back in, I was
presented with a gift by Jen...... My sister and friend also looked over the gift and then announced
"THAT'S the guy we have just been stood next to in the bar, he was with Ronan Keating!" (now.... I'd
seen Ronan because I'd been in the bar and my sister was like.... "look who is stood next to you!"...
i.e Ronan) but I'm not one of those people who gets all dumb & star-struck and so just kind of turned,
looked and continued with our own conversation. The guy my sister was refering too was Kenny Goss.
Now..... purely because I must of been one of the only people there that night NOT to actually meet and
chat with the guy, I was a little dissapointed! To top that off, Jen and Ludo (who had gone downstairs
during the interval) announced they had just met Shirlie and Pepsi! Oh well... I was there to see George
and at least I wasn't gonna miss that bit.
Finally, Eddie Izzard started an introduction that could only equal George. I have been to many shows
before and NEVER have I seen a crowd (& considering it was only a 4,000 crowd.... it was pretty
impressive) react like that for one single artist before he's even opened his mouth! Understandably, I was
going berserk (much to the amusment of the people in the boxes at either side of us). George himself
looked slightly embarrased and gestured to the crowd to quieten down. For a few seconds, I took my
eyes away from the stage and scanned the crowd..... I can't really describe the atmosphere and emotion
there at that precise moment. I think you had to be there to understand those first few seconds as he
walked onto the stage. It amazed and fascinated me!
All he did was sing the opening lines of Eleanor Rigby and I burst into tears. Don't get me wrong....
it had nothing to do with the track itself. I think it was just the tension and excitment of the whole day
(& the fact that I was FINALLY seeing George perform live). All of the three tracks, were performed in my
opinion, perfectly, especially Long & Winding Road. And Faith, well... THAT just really got the crowd
going! The rest of the show continued after that with George returning to the stage later to sing with
Paul McCartney and the other artists. A Fantastic Night!!!!! The entire concert!
It was over way too quick for me. A truly fantastic and memorable experience, not JUST for seeing
George but also because it was spent with some wonderful and loyal friends who share my passion for
George Michael's music. My sister and our friend, Helen actually said later that night, as we were
travelling home from London, that NOW they understand just how much I actually appreciate & love
George (purely off my reaction whilst he was on stage).
The only down side to the whole experience, for me, was having to leave more or less immediately
afterwards to get home, due to work commitments. I would of loved to stay in London and enjoy the rest
of that evening with the other fans/friends, especially after I heard exaclty what they had planned.
Instead...... I had to "endure" a drive back up to the North with two nutters screaming out Tom Jones
hits and WHAM! tracks (complete with arm actions...... at 90 mph on a dark motorway carriage, one of
THEM driving...... thats scary!). Only Kiddin'. I love them both to bits and even they talked about
nothing but the concert for days.
Note:-
My only wish now is that George Performs live again really soon. As I've said previously, you had to be
there to fully understand what it was like that night and how long certain people had waited for that one
event. If you saw it on TV or listened on Radio.... it just doesn't compare or capture the influence that
man has/had over 4,000 people or the power of his voice. It reminded me of a child's game of Simon
Sayes... George said "Ssshhh!" (to calm everyone down at the beginning), everyone did. George said
"sit down", everyone sat down and George said "get up and dance"..... everyone did and even after he left
the stage.... people were chanting his name, wanting more! If you listen REALLY carefully to the edited
radio broadcast of the Here, There & Everywhere Tribute Concert, you can actually hear people stomping
their feet and chanting for George! I have never been to a concert before where the band/performer had
THAT power over a crowd's emotions. Strange as it may sound, that reaction from the crowd is one of the
main things I keep remembering about that night. It blew away! I just hope that George actually took note
and realises how badly people would like to see him tour again!.......
Lots of love and hugs to ALL the friends I have made over recent years and especially to all those I met
that particular weekend! For those of you who weren't there, if you want to see me, I'm the little dark one,
dressed in brown & cream, in the group photo outside CRC.
See ya

The concert was really good , all the performers sang really well. I enjoyed the concert very much, it was
amazing to see how small the Albert Hall was, I imagined it to be 3 times as large. I noticed the crowd
was a bit reserved until Tom Jones (of all people) came on and sang. I always thought Tom was a bit
past it in terms of performing but by the end of his set I changed my mind, he can really rock the house
as he showed then, he was amazing! I really enjoyed performances by David Linden Hall (great voice),
the African singers (more great vocals), Sinead O'Conner ( looking rather lovely in her red dress!), Tom
Jones (rocked the house), Paul Macca (outstanding, Let it Be amazing track) and George was utimately
the best performer there, I really loved 'Elenor Rigby' (I dont understand why its been dropped from the
broadcasting of the event cos it sounded great to me!!!) and it was great to hear FAITH again. I really
HOPE that 'The Long and Winding Road' ends up on the b-side of a future GM single. George sang that
song beautifully. George seemed to crack himself up when Sinead threw some underwear at him, he
then picked a pair up saying "Dear God they're almost Yfronts!!". The underwear was due to the after
effect of the Tom Jones expericence!! ; ). Sinead O'Conner was really funny thoughout the evening
throwing little comments in there now and again when she was on stage with other artists.
With the greatest of respect to the other performers and for the cause of the concert, it was obvious to
see that a large section of the crowd there that night had come to see George Michael perform once
again for the first time in a long time aswell as supporting the worthy cause for the concert...
Bianca
The concert..
Well, what can I say?
I still couldn't believe that I was actually going to see George in concert,
Yes.. I had tickets and I had heard him rehearse that evening so I knew it was going to happen, but
still.. it all seemed to good to be true. I expected George to be one of the last to perform.. and lol, as
a matter of fact I was dreading the rest of the concert not thinking that I would like anyone in particular,
apart from George.. and that it would be a long wait until he was on. Well, how wrong was I.. I really
enjoyed the concert, the diversity of all the singers.. impressed even by some of them! When Sinead
walked up stage, I saw her son was coming with her backstage and he gave her a kiss before she walked
in, so sweet.. little useless fact but being a mom myself I know how precious these kind of kisses are.
When it was time for the break we decided to go and get some refreshments. Since it was hectic at the
bar, I decided to settle for some ice-cream. Oh, and we ran into Aaliyah in the hall. She told me all
about how hard it was for her to get tickets and said that eventually she found them for 400 pounds!
Wow.. now that's what I call dedication, I'm not sure at all whether I would have paid that much for a
ticket. Anyway... we rushed back inside for the second set.. enjoyed the other artists and then finally..
George was announced. Ahhhhh.. you should have seen the crowd, it went absolutely crazy and he
got a standing ovation for minutes which lasted on and on.. *grin*, he had to try to calm us down a
bit. His performances were so great, absolutely worth the wait and it all still felt as if I was in a dream.
Jeannette
Great, great, great…
I liked the performance of Sinéad O'Connor and Elvis Costello very much and I just loved Lynden David
Hall. After the break - with many surprising arrivals - , it was Tom Jones who got the crowd really
going :) Not very nice to the other artists, some people started shouting for George Michael when there
were still two other performances to go. It was obvious to me that George would be the last one to
perform - right before Paul McCartney himself maybe - and I enjoyed that: save the best for the last!
Some others though couldn't hold their patience and did an injustice to an artist like for example Elvis
Costello whose voice has always fasscinated me personally.
And yes… there he was. The audience went totally mad! George had to calm "us" down with a gesture
of his hands before he could speak some words. It seemed like the main part of the crowd had been
there waiting for only George. Well, we knew what he was going to sing ofcourse. Earlier, Indy had
driven me mad by his continuously asking what George was going to sing.
The songs…I think he sang them beautifully. I'm still not able to figure out what was wrong with Eleanor
Rigby. George didn't want it in the BBC television registration; or George decided to leave Eleanor Rigby
out when he had to choose two of the three songs he performed, as he himself thougt his performance
wasn't to his satisfacton. I don't know. Any person named George Michael can contact me to tell… :)
There was a nice intermezzo between The Long And Winding Road and Faith, when huge pieces of
underwear were thrown to him by Sinéad. Right at the moment that George said - after having inspected
the underwear - that "she must be very unattractive", Sinéad tried to tell George the underwear was hers,
which George didn't notice at first …funny :)
For me, it was so nice to see and hear George perform live again after, what is it… 11 years?
"Wonderfull performance, George, thank you" :)
Ludo
… then I saw a stunning performance of my favorite singer, the first one ever in my life, in 15 years of
adoration; then I got to meet him and his closest friends, that I’m not going to mention (if they’re reading,
they will recognize themselves :)) thanks to a strange series of coincidences.
Needless to say, I had the time of my life.
Sally
I was actually right in the back row of the hall, if you were to stand on stage and look out to the crowd
I would have been on your left. I was happy to be in the back row because it meant I could stand up and
not be in anybody's way.
When the concert started I was totally amazed at the number of fantastic performers who kept coming
out. I particularly loved Neil Finn and Tom Jones...but of course was just dying to see George. Everytime
the compare came out to announce the next act I just about fainted and when he finally said George's
name I burst into tears....and then started screaming along with what seemed the rest of the Hall!!
It was an amazing moment....and he looked just absolutly good enough to eat. By this stage I was
standing on my chair so that I could get a better view. The first two songs he sang were incredible, I
couldn't stop crying...he just sounded so amazing. I particularly loved The Long and Winding Road as
that is one of my favourite songs so that was a very special moment for me.
Then when he cranked up Faith with Neil Finn and a few others playing guitar I was in heaven. I was
dancing on my chair and singing at the top of my voice, it was a moment I'll never forget.
I remember thinking I didn't want that moment to end, but of course it had to. When he left the stage it
felt as though the roof would cave in from all the noise for him to come back, but what an amazing
moment it was when instead of George wandering back out on stage....Paul McCartney came out.
It was incredible.
He was obviously very emotional and I was so so happy when he agreed to sing. The rest of the per-
formers came back out for All My Loving, including George and it was just a very special moment for
everyone in that hall, very intimate, something I'll never forget.
The whole night was incredible, worth every penny I'd spent. I had arranged to meet some friends at a
pub in town so unfortunately wasn't able to meet up with the PG members again and my poor friends had
to deal with my hysterics for the rest of the night.
It's something I'll never forget.
Herma
We had good seats, perhaps not the best, but it could have been a lot worse. I didn't really know what
to expect, I wasn't all that impressed with the line up. Some of the artists there I didn't even know. Or
just the name. I was very surprised with the kind of following Tom Jones still seems to have in the UK.
The crowd went wild! I myself was very impressed with Elvis Costello. I wasn't very familiar with what he
does, but I really liked him. There were some things though I didn't like. Firstly, I was really upset with
some people shouting for George during other artist's sets. I think that's very rude and I don't think
George appreciates such behaviour at all.
Secondly, before the show we had discussed whether we should bring camera's or not. Usually you are
not allowed to take pictures during concerts. I decided to bring my camera, put it in my bag and in case
it wasn't allowed I would give it, as you can always get it back after the show. During the concert there
were camera's all over the place, flashlights all the time. I didn't bother, I did plan to take pictures of
George, not knowing how they would turn out. I don't have a very professional camera, but I'd try. As
soon as George came on I took my camera out of my bag. Immediately, as if she had been waiting at
my side, a lady with a badge saying production team or something like that, appeared. She told me to
put my camera away, it was not allowed to take pictures! I asked her why, because there had been
camera's all the time. At "the artist's request", she said.....Excuse me?..... I couldn't believe this was
happening. I know George dislikes camera's, but please...
Looking back it's even more ridiculous. There was t.v. and plenty of camera's, what difference would
mine have made. I was so stunned, I put my camera back in my bag.....this ruined the show somewhat
for me.. Not the fact that I didn't get to take pictures, there were plenty ot others doing it. Just the
thought kept bothering me and today it still does.
Was the lady right? Why else would she say that to me? Why didn't she say that to my neighbour three
seats next to me? Why, if George really requested this wasn't it announced on the soundsystem?
I have very mixed feelings about some of this weekends events. The disappearing act at the RAH on
Friday. The artist's request not to take pictures. And then his disappearing when the whole line up sang
"Let it Be" .... after "All my Loving". Some people said that he left early because he didn't want to draw
the attention away from the rest and Paul.... George left early for security reasons it was said later.
I followed his career from the beginning. I've always been a great fan. But not like most fans, I don't
idolize him, I don't think he is a god. Well, let's say I'm not without criticism. I admire his songwriting,
his lyrics, his voice, his stagepresence and yeah ofcourse, even his looks. Well, everything artisticly
about him, I think. I also think that someone who can write lyrics like he does, must be a loving,
considerate and even vulnarable person. I truely admire the way he shares his feelings in his songs.
(and I take it that he didn't copy them from a book or film :) )
The funny thing is that throughout the years I never felt like he owed me. He doesn't have to meet me,
he doesn't have to tour if that makes him unhappy etc. Nobody ever put a gun to my head to buy his
CD's and as soon as I don't like his music anymore I'll stop buying it, simple really.
Then why do I feel so hungover after this weekend? I love the music, I want to love the person, but after
all this I'm not sure about the attitude. I want to see all the best things in him, I guess. Not only
selfassured, but modest too. Does he think he is bigger than Paul McCartney? Does he think he would
outshine him? Or is he bigger? Why did Paul just leave in his car after the show, waving at us? Why did
George feel he had to sneak off like he did? Would he get mobbed when Paul wasn't? ...dunno..
I guess, without even realizing it, I had put him on a pedestal. He's off again...Still love the music and I
can't help but love the person he is giving us, not without any criticism though....
Anyway back to the concert.
I wasn't very impressed with Eleanor Rigby. I wasn't sure at the time whether it was him or the song, or
whether it was this lady who ruined my mood so effectively. I didn't think it was wrong, I didn't feel he
fucked up or anything, it just didn't work for me. I loved The long and winding road. He sang it with such
control and still there you could feel emotions, lovely. Then Faith. MMMM, I knew ofcourse before the
show he would be doing that. I'm not sure, it's not my alltime favorite, I like it though. I just always
feel it's so short! I never timed it actually life, but it just feels so short :) Well, maybe even a very
very extended version would have been too short. Definately maybe :))
It being the last song I just didn't want it to end, so any song would have been too short. But was it me?
Or did he seem out of breath sometimes? :) Not that I could do it :)) I liked all the guitars. I think George
looked great and I really appreciate the way he talked to all the fans who had flown in for the occasion.
Yeah, if he doesn't come to us, we'll come to him. :) Anytime! We'll be there :).
Herma
Jen
We enjoyed the second half and the building anticipation immensely. M-People were a great act, and
Nabila and I kept mistaking a guy in the shadows of the stage for Kenny, though I believe it ended up
being the mc/comedian Eddie Izzard (?). Finally, after Elvis Costello, and the fact that it was 10:45pm
with the show scheduled to close at 10:30pm, we knew George would be next.
George was AMAZING!!! I've grown to love "Eleanor Rigby" since some friends of mine in a band do an
amazing, hard-edged cover of it. I couldn't believe George was covering it, and I was SO glad I didn't
cave in and beg Herma to tell me the songs he was rehearsing the day before. Sinead O Connor had
sung backup along with Chrissie Hynde, but had to try to steal the spotlight, so she threw a pair of
men's underwear at George. I'm not sure where they came from, but George looked at them, laughed,
and said "Must've been one ugly woman!" Sinead became all down-hearted, and said "Thanks....they
were mine!" To that, George cackled! He was really enjoying taking the piss out of her, and so was I!
Next, it was the "Long & Winding Road". When this first began, my jaw dropped! This song has always
had personal relevance to me, but had very sad memories associated to it, so I immediately turned it
off anytime I heard it on the radio or elsewhere. However, George brought such beauty to the song:
his voice was a perfect match for the haunting lyrics! What life he breathed into that song...I was
on the verge of tears the whole way thru! His final song was "Faith" and was an energetic ending to
his set. Numerous acoustic guitars were brought to the stage, and George told the crowd they could
now get up & dance: did we ever!!!!!! It was truly the best set of the show...and I'm not being biased
here. I had NO problem staying awake at this point! Just as quickly as it began, it was over, and Paul
came out for a solo. Then the encore with an assembly of the concert's participants. George was there
too, and I remember hearing him croon the "oooooh's" in "All My Lovin'". A great rendition.
Then, a quick break between songs, and George disappeared ("and like that...*poof*...he was gone)
--why did he leave so early, was the question on every fan's mind.
Well, Nabila had left before the finale, on a hunt for Shirlie. What a shame George didn't stick around!
The final # was brilliant and brought me to tears: "Let It Be". Pictures of Linda flashed in the background
and were quite moving.
Sonja
Hi George and Kenny,
Thanks for the best birthday in my life. :o))) Looking forward to next year.
You seem to have an ongoing love relation with April 10th. ;o)
Take care. Kenny, beam me up. Sonja Verheyen.
Nathalie
Okay, here we go.... for someone who had NEVER seen the Gorgeous MAN live, well, this was one of
the most amazing "head-rush" I had ever experienced!! A dream, I'm telling you, it was a wonderful
dream! Seeing George on stage, the microphone hovering his beautiful lips (okay, okay, I won't go there
ha! ha!), well, he was simply magical and mesmerizing. The "timbre" of his voice and the way he inter-
preted "The Long and Winding Road" (one of my Beatles' favorite... honest!) made me feel like I was
floating on a velvet cushion over the entire captivated audience. Tears were rolling down my cheeks,
but quickly I would refocus on George's voice, so that I would not lose even the slightest breath in
his performance. Then I would turn around, see my wonderful friends (Bianca, Jeannette, Herma, Nobby,
and Indy) experiencing similar sentiments & wonderment and deep inside thinking that life was just
about perfect.... What a wonderful memory that was.....
Nobby
I made a big mistake to leave the camera in the car that early so it would give me a small "kick" into
the back to help me remember... I only know that the concert was brilliant, and Ursula/Sonja were angry
about me because we missed several times (in the city, before the concert etc).
Jen
At the end, we filed out, went down to the next floor to say goodbye to Shirlie, with an added bonus
of saying hello to Pepsi who was attending the show. No sign of Nabila anywhere, but found her down
the next flight of steps. Unfortunately she went to the wrong floor! Out to the curb where everyone
started filing over and joining the group. Lots of people still milling about, and a few life-size posters
being sold of the different artists. We congregated across the street where we waited and waited for a
bus to take us to the Covent Garden area. We all huddled together in the cold on the benches,
hugging to keep warm! The bus seemed to take forever, but we did get to say goodbye to Paul as his
car drove away and he waved to us.
Bianca
After the concert the girls wanted to check out the green room. *grin*.. again I wasn't really interested,
I wanted to go out clubbing and not waste another night.. but again I gave in. :) Since Nathalie and
Herma checked out the RAH with the glue incident the day before, Nat was certain that she knew how
to find the Green Room. We followed her.. and she was right, not that we got in, haha.. the place was full
with security! Again we were not the only one with this idea.. a few more people were waiting there,
hoping to catch a glimpse of whoever they would see. We saw Tom Jones leave the place.. but no sign
of George Michael! After a while, security had enough of us.. and they kindly asked us to leave the
building, which we did. I didn't really notice where we left the building, as I was too busy talking to Indy
about how great the concert was and how much fun we had... when all of a sudden I realised that we
were leaving the building through the artist entrance.. that same door where we had been waiting for
George the night before. Only there was a BIG difference.. the night before we were only waiting with 10
people or so, but that saturdaynight there were HUNDREDS of people waiting outside! Hehehe.. for a
minute I got the feeling what it's like to be famous! :) I told Indy that those people were probably all
wondering WHO we were, and whether we were of any importance. Lol.. like I had been wondering that
about everyone the night before.
Jeannette
After the concert, Bianca, Nathalie and I tried to stay the night in the Royal Albert Hall, hoping to get
invited for the after party ;-) Yvonne, whom we bumped into during the break of the concert, was there
too. I did see Tom Jones leaving "the green room", but no sign of George there. He had left the second
all-together-song early, so we figured he wasn't there at all. We got kicked out eventually and when we
left via door 1, there were hundreds of people waiting to get a glimpse of the artists leaving. I'm not sure,
but I thought I saw a couple of photo cameras flash as Nathalie, Bianca and I left that door. "Aren't they
the three world famous models once appearing in this George Michael video?" :D
Indy
Luckily we did see Paul McCartney drive past us and he waved to us from his stretch Mercedes as he
left the Albert Hall. We (PG group) eventually got a bus which took us to Picadilly Circus, from there
we walked to a nightclub where we spent a few hours a-boogie-ing!! ; ).. April the 10th was a really
special day, I will remember it for a long, long time.
Jen
Ended up at Roadhouse, a lively club that played 80's music. This was after a brisk walk, a stop at an
ATM that ate cards (lol!), and a stop in the restrooms at Leceister Square. Some people even grabbed
a quick bite on the way. Well, we certainly had our boogie shoes on...."Wake Me Up Before You Go-
GO" came on as we were trying to find an open spot on the dance floor. This was only the 2nd time I've
ever heard this in a nightclub (the first being only the previous month!). Well, we managed to stake out
an area for ourselves, with a few tables for drinks. "Outside" was definitely the highlight of the evening!!
Nathalie
Road House; life without music is like French bread without a sumptuous wine! It has no taste. The
Road House offered us the opportunity to let go of the Wild Woman (or Man) inside. I know I absolutely
love to dance and this club offered us music of the 80's and WHAM! God! It was fun to see everyone
"getting down" that night. Especially Paulette with a taste of her own special "groove" that deeply
impressed me. My God! Can she dance or what?!! Go Girl, Go Girl!! No matter what age one is, it's the
spirit and the passion that really counts. I have to say that Paulette had both at full speed. Way to go!
Jeannette
Those with too much energy decided to party along in RoadHouse, a night club in Covent Garden.
We waited for hours - as it seemed - for a buss to take us to Covent Garden. While we were waiting,
Paul McCartney's car loosened itself from the crowd at door 1, drove by us and like we rehearsed it,
we yelled "Bye Paul!" all at the same time. So funny! I guess Mr MacCartney must have thought so
too as he waved back at us :)
After a money machine swallowed Indy's credit card, leaving him with no money at all, we finally arrived
at RoadHouse, where Nobby was already - the smart one: he walked all the way and was there way
before we were! We got ourselves our "own" corner where we spent the rest of our evening having a
good time.

Maybe it's serious, but you can call it funny too, but after the concert I had to MOVE, to WALK, to
leave my energy somewhere. But the crowd outside discussed AGAIN how to reach the Roadhouse
disco best. ARGH! So I left the crowd by foot (of course I heard sentences like "You're staying with us").
People must have discussed for long, because I reached Roadhouse earlier than the rest, even though
I had to search this "cellar pub" (only a sign outside tells where it is...).

After the show we went to Roadhouse. What a great place that is! I would go back anytime. The music
is great. I'm no fan of house, rap, or whatever it is they play in most clubs nowadays. Roadhouse had
seventies and eightees music, some nineties. I guess I got stuck there musically :), I danced like I
hadn't in a long time and again I loved the sex. Well, on the beach :)
Stupid name, great drink.
After that, back to the appartment, where we spent what was left of the night talking. About the show,
and George and George and George etc. About the lyrics and what do they mean to each individual
person. At some point we decided we'd better stay up, but grabbed two hours of sleep after all.

I had lost all track of time, but it must've been after 3pm when the lights came up and we were calling
it a night. We broke up into our separate groups to catch cabs back to our respective accomodations.
Home to my cousin's place where we sat up and talked about George for hours!!! All the different music,
its meaning, various rumors...It must've been after 5am as I was dozing trying to listen to Herma's
fascinating accounts. We all retired to rest up for Sunday.
