We were one of the first ones to leave.. after breakfast a few more pics were taken and then we hugged & kisses everyone goodbye... until the next time! :o) The taxi took us to Modena train station, where we discovered the train to Milano had a 30 minute delay. Well, even that wasn't going to spoil our fun and once we finally got on the train we found ourselves a nice airconditioned coupe of 6, just for the two of us. So far so good... we had a wonderful time, until we got off the train and arrived at the airport busses. There I noticed that my purse was missing, which had practically everything in it... passport, credit card, plane ticket and money.. arggggggg!
And then the discovery that hardly anyone in Milano spoke any english, even the police guys were horrible with it! Of course we missed our flight...
Thank god at Malpensa airport we got back into civilization! :) People there did speak english, and thanks to Jules' creditcard we managed to get on the next flight to Amsterdam. We got home hours (and lotsa hassles!) later, but even that couldn't spoil the wonderful days we had.

Wednesday was the day most of us left the hotel. Bianca and I had to take the same way back: taxi first, than the train to Milan central station, from where a buss would take us to Malpensa Airport.
The trip back didn't work out as planned. We were the first ones to leave the hotel and we had to rush to be in time for the train. This train had a bit of delay. Now I must say that travelling with me means nerv-racking business :) I'v missed my plane several times now, due to all kinds of things, but when you travel with me, things happen...unfortunately in this case.
On Milan central station, Bianca's bag was stolen. Never a nice situation, and in this case very irritating when noone in a big city like Milan speaks English...not even the police :( Bianca's bag had everything in it: money, passport, planeticket etc etc.
Anyway, to cut this short: we arrived in Holland with a big delay on our original plan.

Nevertheless...despite the last day, I had a great concert-weekend (hmm..it wasn't really a weekend was it? From Sunday until Wednesday?...). Can't wait until the next one... :D

Herma
The next morning we left, a little later than we wanted to, but we all had to say goodbye and that takes time :) We stopped several times to pick up newspapers. The show was covered in most of them.
Some of the girls were going to stay for another day.... and they met George and Kenny at the airport...... I didn't. But that is OK with me. I am, I think, the craziest fan of all...lol. Just about everybody, or so it seems, has met him, some several times .. and I love hearing their stories and sometimes I even think Yeah, I want to meet him too. It is highly contagious :). But I just know that wouldn't satisfy me, so why bother? What I would like is to meet him and have a real talk. I don't need his autograph or a picture of him and me. If I would bump into him I would probably ask, but.. hey... the way they met him at the airport was great. Dropping someone off, I think it was Nathalie who had a plane to catch and hey presto there is George. Wow that would be great. But I am going for a real talk.So George if you read this? Let's chat :). Email would be fine too, just give me a date and I will show up ;).

I just drove home very satisfied, it had been a great trip and nothing could mess it up for me anymore. Some car trouble on the way back was annoying but we got it fixed quickly by a Swiss car mecanic who was actually really called Ferrari :). In trying to find out what was wrong with my car, he took me up this small mountain road and he did act on his name...wow, that was well..what was it.. fun but extremely scary too. And I am the one who never goes to amusement parc because I am scared shitless for all these dangerous rollercoasters.
We arrived at home on time, driving all night, without falling asleep.....exhausted but happy. I had been home for maybe an hour when the kids started to wake up...I was just in time to get them ready and to take them to school.... So, it was Back to life, back to reality...

We packed our bags, kissed each other’s goodbye then Nathalie, Kris, Jen and I left for Bologna. I drove Kris to the airport and while she was checking in, Nathalie and I met the singer from Aqua and spent a few words with her. She's really nice and very friendly. I also met Phil Ramone and congratulated him on his good job with the show. He looked puzzled and surprised to be recognised in such a location ;)

Kristine
Thanks a million to Ludo who drove me to Bologna airport the next morning and to Nathalie and Jen who were there to say the last goodbyes to me. Well, it was kinda sad, cause we will probably not gonna see each other for a while! Until the next time George performs! The statistics of the last 5 shows say he does some kind of a performance at least every 6 month. So, probably some time in winter! ;)

At the airport I had a nice meeting with entire George's team... (everybody but George himself, as it seemed;)) As it turned out, I was on the same flight to London with them! It was nice to say a quick hello to Shirlie, George's manager Andy and George's long term musician Chris Cameron, and tell them how much I enjoyed the show and the whole trip in general. I hardly ever go on "normal" vacations these days, so I don't see anything more than London, due to George's performance preferences... Such a trip to Italy was a real treat for me, as I finally managed to go somewhere else as well! ;) Not like I complain, I love London... But anyways! I was especially happy about my trip to Venice, cause I don't think I would have gone there in a foreseeable future, hadn't it been kinda "on the way" to George's performance! Since the departure was more than an hour late, we all had a chance to chat a little bit.

Ludo
Then Kris left for London and Jen, Nathalie and I remained at the airport since Nathalie too had to leave for Germany later that day. We had a lovely meal and enjoyed ourselves.
At about 4.45 we went back to the terminal and sat down in front of the main entrance, just the 3 of us, when George & Kenny and bodyguards entered. I could hardly breath! Everything happened so fast!!! George walked quite quickly, but Kenny slowed down a bit when he saw us and approached to say Hi to each of us, looking straight into our eyes, smiling.
Then he joined George and nudged him, pointing at us. George turned around and stopped to spend a few words with us. Wow!!! Then he said they had to go, waved at us and said Bye.

By 5 o’clock I had kissed Nathalie and Jen goodbye and I was in my car again, driving back home. I spent a lovely little holiday and, again, had a blast with all my friends. Can’t wait for the next show!!!!

Kristine
I was stressed out about my plane from Bologna to London being delayed, cause I had to catch a connection flight from London to Riga, but everything was fine. I made it. I arrived back home 30 minutes past Midnight, I was home at 2 a.m. and I made it to the University at 9 a.m. the next morning for my Master Thesis presentation. Well, I slept late of course so I was there at 10 minutes past 9, actually… Not prepared, no make up on, speaking like Louis Armstrong… (My throat was fragile after all the screaming at the show, and I totally lost my voice while waiting for a cab at the Riga airport. I wasn’t prepared for such a cold weather back home!). Still, I did it. I got my Master’s degree and that morning it did not seem difficult at all… I was asked questions I didn’t know answers to, but afterwards everybody was saying to me that I was speaking to the Committee with a very strong confidence… ;) Well, I was tired, I hadn’t had a proper sleep for more than a week, I had just seen an amazing show, met so many great people again, and my vacation was over. Everything was just too much! I couldn’t care less! ;)
Thank you, George, for such a stress free and worries free graduation! :)
And thanks to all my friends who were there in Modena! With some of you we just didn’t get enough time together, some of you I managed to get to know even better which I am very glad of. I can not wait to meet you all again! … well, ok, maybe let’s ask George to give us a short break and release an album. : )))) And then we will be ready again and looking forward to fly wherever just to hear the man sing!!!!
